Skagerak cuisine

Our proximity to the Skagerak means our kitchen gets fresh seafood daily from the fishing quay next door. Freshly cooked shrimp, various fish catches, ocean crayfish, and lobster when in season.

We also source fresh local produce from nearby farms. Vegetables grown in this region are some of the best in Norway.

Tiny sweet peas and the season’s first asparagus are perfect companions with baked turbot and beurre blanc. Fresh farm eggs and plump golden yolks help make a delicious breakfast.

We delight in creating culinary experiences for our guests, so let our chef take you on a gastronomical adventure.

The hotel beckons you with...

Restaurant with soul

Enjoying good food is half of living - and then some at Nevlunghavn Guesthouse. In our newly refurbished restaurant, you get the best the sea has to offer in a delightful dining milieu. In addition to seafood, we offer Scandinavian and local specialities. Let us indulge you with a fine dining experience at our table by the sea.

Time for tea, or did you say bubbly?

Our venerable Kaia lounge beckons guests to gather round a crackling blaze in the fireplace. Relax, play cards or just open a good book to read. And if you’re in the mood, have a bite of cake or refreshing mocktail. "The ambiance is best described by an old colloquial saying: “Ah, the life of merchants!”

Everything tastes better by the sea

Stroll to the end of the quay and you’ll find the fish depot where fishermen deliver their catch.

Open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 11.00-15.00, or until all the seafood is gone.
